PKKPRL Requirements

Basically, there are 2 (two) types of Marine Space Approval, namely for non-business activities in the form of Marine Space Utilization Activity Conformity (KKPRL) and business activities in the form of Marine Space Utilization Activity Conformity Approval (PKKPRL). PKKPRL itself is required for business activities that use marine space in carrying out their business activities on a permanent basis or for a maximum of 30 (thirty) consecutive days. PKKPRL is required before obtaining other permits and/or before obtaining Environmental Approval (UKL-UPL/AMDAL). The required documents for submitting PKKPRL are as follows :

• Marine Building/Installation Plan, this document contains details of the activity plan and coordinates and plot of the area of ​​the sea location to be used;

• Information on the Utilization of Surrounding Marine Space, containing existing activities currently underway at and around the application location;

• Current Condition of Location and Surroundings (Ecosystem (Seagrass, Mangrove, and Coral Reef), Hydro-Oceanography, Seabed Profile, Socio-Cultural Characteristics of Community, Location Accessibility), this document requires surveys and data collection in accordance with these prerequisites;

• Reclamation Prerequisites, Reclamation prerequisites are created when land reclamation activities occur on the coast or in marine cover. These documents include a Material Source Plan, a Reclamation Land Utilization Plan, a General Overview of Reclamation Implementation, and a Reclamation Implementation Plan Schedule;

• Other Requirements, other prerequisites include a Field Verification Report (Verlap) by the nearest BPSPL and Provincial Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service as well as Technical Considerations (Pertek) regarding the suitability of marine space allocation in the Provincial RZWP3K.
